Ch Sherick's TLH Rumor of Churchil "Rumor" (left)
CH Juciciary's Bigez of Sherick x CH Churchil's Flint Julip O'SHK
From the first time I saw Rumor as a puppy sitting on Michelle's couch I was struck by her beautiful head. Even as youngster she had the most regal look about her. We did find out that first night home that even though she looked quite regal, there was a mountain goat hidden in those genes. We still remember just shortly after her arriving at our house looking around for her and there was this little bloodhound puppy walking around on our dining room table. She just hopped on a chair, then right up on the table and was checking things out. We found from that point on it didn't matter if it was table, wall, etc Rumor would be on it and walking around.
In the show ring, Rumor did wonderfully, although it was going to be her way. We found early on that the less you fussed with her and tried to stack her in the ring the better she did. She is one of those dogs that walk in, place themselves and you can just hold the lead. Rumor won her puppy class at the first Bloodhound National she went to at barely 6 months which was also her first time in the ring, she then later on as a adult won Best of Winners at the Prairie Lands Bloodhound Specialty and as a veteran placed in a large and very completive veteran bitch class at the 2004 Bloodhound Nationals. She is now retired after producing 2 wonderful litters of puppies for us and a daughter, Lacey that seems to carry on many of her mother's traits.

"Rock"
Ch Rcklnd Jo-Li Foghorn Leghorn x Ch Sherick's TLH Rumor of Churchil
Rock was the first born puppy in Rumor's second litter born in TJ's bedroom and as he was born TJ picked him as the male to keep. As time went on and the puppies grew I had to agree with his choice. Rock finished easily having a lovely head with that wonderful soft expression, good movement and beautiful rich color. We are currently waiting for Rock to mature and then go back to the show ring with his wonderful happy go lucky attitude.

Ch TLH Rumors and Lace "Lacey"
Ch Rcklnd Jo-Li Foghorn Leghorn X Ch Shericks TLH Rumor of Churchl
Lacey was from Rumor's second litter and born during one of the worst rain storms that we had seen causing major flooding. The whole litter in fact was born in TJ's bedroom and stayed there until there we about 4 weeks old due to our basement flooding where the whelping box was originally set up. This whole litter was hand raised from about 2 days old on as Rumor developed an infection that almost took her life .We don't know if it was just the personality that this litter would have had anyway or the fact that they were handled so much , but they are all very much people dogs .
Lacey, was the littlest girl and the one we kept saying there is just something about her so we kept her. She followed in her mom's footsteps by finishing her championship at the South Central Regional Specialty going Best of Winners.
Lacey has a lovely head as her mom does beautiful fluid movement and loves to be a lap dog. We look forward to what she will produce in the future.
