TLH Bloodhounds & French Bulldogs is located near Emporia at the base of the scenic Flint Hills of central Kansas. We have 10 acres for us and our four legged family members.
Our show dog career started out with golden retrievers. Ch Dawnhaven' Hard to be Humble was a multiple Best in Specialty winner with many group placements. Our first bloodhound, Tracker (Ch Shericks' Just Tracking) was acquired in 1986. Tracker was a great first bloodhound, a wonderful easy going boy who taught us a lot. Tracker is responsible for our love of the breed and our ongoing commitment to bloodhounds, both our own and those in need of rescue. Our next bloodhound was Stomper (Ch Sherick's Spittin Image) he was a repeat breeding of Tracker, though he was nothing like him. Stomper was a very full of himself bloodhound who firmly believed that the world was his and just let the rest of us reside with him.
Our two boys were born in 1994, bred by my partners and good friends Sherry Duling and Diane Hoy (Sherick's Bloodhounds and Flatwater Bloodhounds). These two grew up to be Twister (Ch Sherick's Pepperflint Twist) and Shooter (Ch Sherick's Shot'O'Flint 'O' Flatwater). We lost Twister before his full potential was realized but, Shooter has made us proud over the years with 21 group placements (all owner handled) and qualifying for the American Bloodhound Club Show Dog Hall of Fame. We added a very special girl to our family in 1997, Rumor (Ch Sherick TLH Rumor of Churchil) and truly appreciate Sherick's and Churchil Bloodhounds for this wonderful addition. Rumor made us very proud in the show ring, she won her puppy class at the national at just barely 6 months of age and went on later to win Winner's Bitch at the Champaign Regional Specialty and Reserve Winner's Bitch at the South Central Specialty. Her greatest accomplishments are her 2 wonderful litters of puppies she gave us. Her first litter produced another Champion for us, Sumo (Ch TLh Try To Take Me Down) and his littermates are living in homes scattered through out the states, as much loved family companions. Rumor's second litter looks very promising and all though the pups are young we expect great things from this new generation. We also lucky enough to add a red boy to our family in 1997 also, thanks to Sherick's Bloodhounds. Cruiser (Ch Sherick's TLH Red Hot Cruiser) grew up to be a beautiful red male. Although Cruiser was not a big fan of the show ring he finished his championship quite easily and has won several group placements. We look forward to our new generation, Rock (TLH Hard To Break), Sparkle (TLH Rumor's Sparkling Sequel and Lacey (TLH Rumors and Lace).
Although we only breed on a very limited basis we are firmly committed to do the very best we can for the bloodhound breed. This not only encompasses breeding what we believe will only better the breed, but to education of the public and assisting any bloodhound in need.
We have one boy pictured above available to the right home. He is micro chipped, current on all vaccinations and heartworm, crate trained, lead broken and reasonably housebroken. He is going to be a fairly small male and loves nothing more than to sit on someone's lap. He will only be sold on a limited registration and will be neutered.
