Photos were taken by Susanna Anderson and Celeste Meade of Andrew and Desire at the 2002 Midwest Regional Specialty. Andrew and Desire placed 2nd on Friday, 3rd on Saturday, and 1st on Sunday in Bred By Exhibtor. We are very proud of them.
Desire finished with three majors. Her first major win happened in Indianapolis, Indiana under Judge William Robert Russell Jr. She was 18 months old and he gave her BOS over Specials. I knew then she was going to be a very special girl. Later she won a four point major at Louisville, Kentucky under Judge Houston Toddie Clark in 2003. Her last major presented her under Judge Dr. Asa Mays also earned her the title Champion in 2003 in Briarfield, Alabama. I am truly proud of her. She was 2 years and 9 months old when she became a Champion. Desire is an independent soul with a very happy disposition. She loved going with me to the shows and made me feel like an ornament on the end of her string. She earned most of her points with me. The only other person who experienced her magic in the show ring with her was my son Andrew. I call Desire my Angel Baby. She is Mayflower bloodhounds first female Champion.
